I’m a digital forensic examiner and expert witness based in Corvallis, Oregon. I own K4 Forensics (K4 Investigations, LLC), a private digital forensic laboratory that supports defense attorneys, civil litigators, corporations, and law enforcement agencies.

I spent 13+ years as an Albany, Oregon police officer and detective, including six years running the department's digital forensic lab. I then spent more than two years as Lead Global Investigator for Digital Forensics at Nike. In August 2024 I started K4 to bring both the investigator's side and the corporate side to the attorneys and organizations who need digital evidence examined, verified, or challenged.

I hold the Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE), Cellebrite Certified Operator (CCO), and Cellebrite Certified Physical Analyst (CCPA) certifications, and I am a licensed Private Investigator in Oregon (PI-ID 058533) and an accepted digital forensic expert with the Oregon Public Defense Commission. I have performed over 1,000 forensic extractions and examinations. I have testified in Oregon circuit courts and have been accepted as a digital forensic expert in both Oregon state courts and U.S. District Court.

    • K4 Forensics: Mobile and computer forensics, independent review of evidence previously acquired by law enforcement, analysis of cloud and social media data, digital search warrant and affidavit review, CSAM, ICAC and P2P case review, corporate investigations and legal holds, and expert witness testimony in Oregon courts.

    • Nike: Led digital forensics for Nike Global Investigations: acquisition and analysis of company computers and mobile devices, email, Slack, and cloud storage; decryption of BitLocker and FileVault devices; legal holds and eDiscovery support for IP theft, fraud, threats, and data-egress investigations.

    • Albany Police Department: Ran the department's computer forensic lab and served as lead case agent on complex child exploitation investigations. Wrote search warrants, examined computers and mobile devices, testified as an expert, and held earlier roles as General Detective and Patrol Officer (2008 to 2016).
